Jonesville, Virginia–Powell Valley National Bank (PVB, Bank) is pleased to announce the promotion of Ted Fields to Executive Vice President. Fields joined Powell Valley National Bank’s Kingsport office in July 2018 as Senior Vice President and Market Executive.

Fields was recognized in the Tri-Cities Business Journal as a member of the 2004 class of “40 under 40.” Active in the community, he has served as the board president of United Way of Greater Kingsport, Board member for the United Way of Bristol TN/VA, Board member and incoming chair for Kingsport Chamber of Commerce, Past Chair of Keep Kingsport Beautiful, Advisory committee for KOSBE, Past Chair for the Wellmont Foundation Board of Governors, Past Board President for Appalachian Division of the March of Dimes, Past Board Member Holston Valley Hospital, Past Chair of the Ballad Health Foundation, and Past Chair of the Kingsport Neighborhood Commission. He is also a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Kingsport.
Ted is a native of Grundy, Virginia and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from East Tennessee State University. He is also a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Georgetown University, and the Southeastern School of Banking at Vanderbilt University.
Ted and his wife, Kathy, have two children, Allison and Adam, and reside in Kingsport, TN. Ted adds, “I am honored to work for Powell Valley National Bank, a bank that is truly dedicated to the communities where we live and work.”
